Rainy day in Holland

Posted by Andrea Auf dem Brinke (Desenzano del Garda (BS), Italy) on 15 September 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

I was extremly attracted by the child that was remaining under the very strong rain. It's a pitti that here in Aminus you can't see the actual rain that is visible in the original picture.

I love this image. The child, the flag, the windmills , the sky -- and of course the cow. And in fact, I can see the rain, though just barely.

Excellent composition and very luminous. (and how lucky you are to be the owner of a D700 !).

@bruno: thank you for your comment!
I was saving money since more then one year to buy a D3. And then... nikon made this wonderful camera (a kind of a D3 in a D300 body)... It is really a great camera

i wanted to add -- there is a presence of beautiful 'hope' here -- not even sure what i mean by that... the boy with the flag on a rainy day... such pride! it pulls at the heartstrings! so touching!
